As a ‘profit for purpose’ Registered Housing Association, Choice has a range of key stakeholders encompassing tenants, government regulators, political representatives and the wider community. Whilst the client was keen to fill specific gaps in Committees requiring technical skills, really good members require excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to bridge strategic and operational issues. The organisation requires effective leadership to be successful at each of Board, Committee and Senior Management levels.
Clarendon developed a really great understanding of the role and qualities of the Non-Executive Director. They also ‘get’ the social enterprise model and can empathise with our desire to balance social values with sound commercial acumen. The Clarendon team took the time and care to assess the DNA of Choice and then did a fantastic job at promoting our ambitious plans forward to prospective candidates. The service offered from start to finish was excellent and we look forward to welcoming the new members into Choice in Spring 2018.
