Following successful completion of a recruitment brief which culminated in two external appointments and one internal promotion, Clarendon Executive identified the opportunity to use the insights developed during the recruitment selection process to ‘go further’ and support the newly appointed ‘top team’. Our objective was to help integrate them into National Museums NI, in order that as a team and individuals they could quickly realise their potential and excel in their new roles.
During recruitment Clarendon Executive used a market-leading profiling questionnaire to look at candidate leadership styles. A benefit of using this questionnaire is that reports can be generated highlighting how individuals work best together, given their preferred style, and where there might be potential conflicts. We designed a process around this, using the information to develop an impactful and cost-effective way to begin the new team’s integration process.
Each newly appointed team member had a detailed feedback session with a Clarendon Executive consultant, followed by an informal, half-day event designed around sharing individual profiles and the team profile. This enabled the new team to get to know and understand each other better, developing awareness of their working and communication styles, and helped accelerate the creation of a common identity, culture and spirit.
