Our client, Choice Housing Ireland Limited (Choice), is one of Ireland’s largest housing associations. Choice is proud of its roots and while its charitable focus remains at the core, the Group Board has set a bold vision and strategy that reflects a move into new areas that create opportunities for growth. This breadth of ambition will underpin a step-change in the development of social, affordable and private rented housing as well as customer-focused support services.
The Choice Group Board is supported by 3 standing committees comprised of both Board and independent members. Whether operating at Board or Committee level, members make very important contributions within the Group governance structure.
The organisation is now seeking to appoint up 2 new Independent Committee Members from September this year to its Tenant and Client Services Committee. Candidates who are appointed at committee level may typically progress to Main Board roles over time.
Tenant and Client Services Committee
This committee is the main interface between the Association and its tenants. Up to two new independent committee members are required to support the work of this committee which ensures housing management and property services deliver an exceptional service to tenants. We are therefore keen to hear from senior executives who will bring insight into housing policy, community regeneration or the care environment and who understand board governance and wish to use those experiences in an organisation that delivers considerable social value. Experience of influencing customer service strategies at board level or strategic experience in CRM would be important.
This is an exciting time to be associated with an organisation with the ambition, scale and resources of Choice. There is a real opportunity as a Committee Member to help influence and inform the growth of Choice and make a lasting difference to communities across the country.
Independent Committee Member positions are non-remunerated and require a commitment to attend approximately 6 meetings per annum. Meetings are scheduled to suit members where possible and are typically around 2 hours duration.
