The latest success of the women’s senior team in qualifying for their first ever major tournament, enhancing a great history, shows the positive impact that football has across Northern Ireland society. There are hugely exciting times ahead for the senior women’s team and the organisation is committed to significant further development of the women’s game at all levels. The appointment of a Director of Women’s football comes at a perfect time and has the potential to be truly transformational.
The successful candidate will lead on all activities related to the development and management of women’s football in Northern Ireland, and work in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to create a set up that will deliver long term sustainable success. You will take overall responsibility for all women’s international squads, namely the senior, U19 and U17, providing inspirational leadership to the head coaches while ensuring that squads are well prepared for all competitions.
You must have a degree, a proven track record in a leading off field role in professional or semiprofessional sport and be passionate about woman’s participation in sport. Through your career to date, you will have delivered transformational change and developed a detailed understanding of how to build for sustainable success.
