The creation of this new Director post will build further capacity and expertise within the senior team of Council’s largest Department and offers an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and city partners to enhance the delivery of services and influence and shape future plans. The development of a sustainable operating model, supported by effective and efficient systems, will enable effective performance management and a focus on delivery and outcomes. Ultimately this will lead to the delivery of improved and integrated community-based services and enhanced customer experiences.

You will have experience of operating and influencing at senior management level, with a successful track record in the delivery of relevant front-line services to the public, within a similarly complex operating environment. Given the remit of this new leadership role it is essential that you can demonstrate the strategic leadership, commitment to service excellence and experience of effective resource management that this role demands. Experience of managing a significant budget of over £5m and motivating a multi-disciplined workforce of 50 or more staff is also essential.
