Belfast Met is the largest Further and Higher Education College in Northern Ireland and has been contributing to the economic and enterprise development of the City for over 100 years. It now delivers from a modern and award-winning estate that spans the length and breadth of the city of Belfast comprising four main campuses – Titanic Quarter, Millfield, Springvale and Castlereagh – as well as a range of smaller outreach centres, including the new community hub at Girdwood.
Belfast Met is a £60 million business that now attracts over 33,000 enrolments each year, provides employment to over 1,000 people and procures around £7 million of goods and services annually. The organisation is now seeking to appoint a new Head of Corporate Development who will be a champion of continuous improvement in the planning, delivery, review and enhancement of standards in teaching and learning across the College.
The Head of Corporate Development has overall responsibility for: Management Information; Strategic Planning; Performance Management; Compliance, Risk Management and Business Continuity; Business Improvement; Policy Planning; Employee Engagement; and, Marketing and Design.
The Corporate Development Department within the College plays a significant role in future strategic planning, by providing the data and trend analysis to facilitate more informed decision making. It is responsible for the monitoring and review of current College performance to help deliver the goals of the College, its mission, values and strategic direction.
The Head of Corporate Development will be a visible leader with three years senior management experience operating in a large corporate planning and performance management environment. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in delivering performance improvement that supports fundamental organisational change within an environment where effective stakeholder engagement has been critical.
Through your career you will have demonstrated a strong track record of success and understand the critical value that the generation and interpretation of data / data analytics has in informing senior level decision making and facilitating the strategic planning process.
